Elements and Performance Criteria

1. Review coordination
   • Debriefings are conducted to evaluate coordination effectiveness
   • Reports are produced and are communicated or disseminated, in accordance with organisational procedures and regulatory requirements
2. Commence coordinationof resources
   • Coordination arrangements are invoked, in accordance with agreed authority and/or responsibility
3. Coordination is established within an Incident Control Centre or facility, in accordance with state, territory and Commonwealth arrangements
4. Coordination arrangements are communicated to authorities and/or organisations pertinent to the type of incident
5. Establish and maintain coordination network
   • Coordination network and structure is established appropriate to the nature and complexity of the incident
6. Coordination network is integrated with the control and command activities to meet the objectives of the plan using communications processes and systems, as required
7. Coordination network is expanded, contracted or modified in response to changes within the incident environment
8. Manageresource requirements forincident
   • Resources are identified through the coordination network, external providers and/or authorities which may be appropriate to incident requirements including any sources of information and documents required
9. Resources are acquired to meet the requirements of the incident plan including personnel support activities
10. Estimated cost of resources is identified and monitored
11. Resources are supplied to meet operational requirements within negotiated timeframes
12. Allocation of resources is monitored and evaluated to ensure resources are fit for purpose
13. Conclude coordination activities
    • A review is undertaken to ensure resources are acquired and supplied in a cost effective and efficient manner
14. Resources released from the incident are returned, in accordance with organisational procedures
    • Debriefings are conducted to evaluate coordination effectiveness
15. Reports are produced and are communicated or disseminated, in accordance with organisational procedures and regulatory requirements
